Whats in the future 4 your favorite horror movies?

Here what you can expect as far as the future for some of your favorite or popular horror movies.

1st: The Blair Witch Project series

*No Official Plot yet but is in the talks*
Directed by: Daniel Myrick & Eduardo Sánchez
It will be mixed first person view instead of the characters talking directly to the camera
Lionsgate still needs to approve the next movie in order for them to continue.
It is said to a continuation off of the first movie, completely ignoring the second movie(cause it sucked)
Original actors Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams may have brief cameo appearances in one form or another,
The original script was said to be a prequel set in 1786 where the Blair Witch legend originated from. The premise was written as follows: "This film chronicles the events that led to the township of Blair driving an accused witch named Elizabeth Kedward into the woods, and the subsequent hauntings that plaqued the town for decades after her supposed death."
Chance that this movie will ever happen: 4 out of 10.
A script was sent to Lionsgate in 2004 but it went to production and it has been in the talking stage for over a decade.

Jeepers Creepers 3

It is in development. It is going to directed/written by Victor Salva. And is starring Jonathan Breck,
Ray Wise, and Gina Phillips.
Set 23 years after the previous film, we follow Trish Jenner (Gina Phillips), who is now a mother. Realizing that the return of the Creeper is just around the corner, she begins to have terrible recurring nightmares of her own teenage son confronting the creature and suffering the same fate as her deceased brother. Now a rich and powerful woman, she's determined to finally put an end to the Creeper once and for all.
Victor Salva: "Though I have been beating this drum for so long that people have started not to believe me, I am told they are very close to closing a financing deal for the third film in the trilogy. So I want to say yes, but let’s not jinx it by saying any more. My script for the film, which was written some time ago, sets up a TV series that features Poho County and The Creeper. The script has been ready to shoot for a while now."
It is still unsure if the movie will go straight to dvd or not. Victor Salva is hoping that it goes theatrical.
"Cathedral" is an important setting in this movie.
Writer/director Victor Salva promises new surprises in the story and claims that this will be the biggest of the three films.
We will see the return of the infamous truck the Creeper drove in the first movie.
Gina Phillips returns as the character "Trish" from the first film.
Actor Ray Wise reprises his role as "Jack Taggart Sr." from the previous film.
Jonathan Breck returns as the "Creeper."
The film will serve as a prequel and sequel, starting off in the "Old West" and then switching to twenty years after the events of the previous film.
This film has been in talks since before the sequel was released back in '03.
Chance that this movie will ever happen: 8 out of 10...because it's taking to damn long to see any real progress!

Quarantine 2: Terminal

When a passenger becomes violently ill with a mysterious rabies-like virus, the plane makes an emergency landing at a large metropolitan airport. Jenny (Mercedes Masohn), a heroic yet inexperienced flight attendant, takes charge of the safety of her passengers. Relieved when a swarm of heavily equipped emergency vehicles, police units and the CDC arrive, Jenny and the passengers soon discover that they have been quarantined and are now trapped. Candyman 4

Set in New England in an all-girls college where a professor is the descendant of Candyman, yet she doesn't know who or what he is.
The project was in active development back in 2004, but likely never came to fruition due to licensing issues. Here's a quote from Tony Todd back in 2004: "That problem that is going on much like many backstage workings, is determining who owns the "CANDYMAN" franchise. Which is strange to me because it's Clive's Character? But in dividing the first "CANDYMAN's" profits, the ownership went from Propaganda, to Sony, to Columbia, then to Artisan. Then Artisan became Lions Gate. As soon as it's all straightened out and it's determined who has to be paid before the film even gets written, then the movie will move forward."
With the success of Freddy Vs. Jason, the studio reportedly spoke to Clive Barker about possibly making this a versus film, specifically with another one of Clive's franchises -- Hellraiser.
We would have seen a snow/blizzard element added to the film.
Once rumored to be budgeted at $25-million (had it actually been made).
Clive Barker was to serve as a consultant and executive producer.
You can view the original Candyman 4 UHM page here.
It's said that this was to be a stand-alone film and have no relation to the previous sequels.
Chance that this movie will ever happen: 1 1/2 out of 10.....the movie has stopped moving forward...but who knows what the future can hold...maybe it won't be made today...but hollywood is unpredictable.

Piranha 3DD:

It is in pre-production
It will be starring Ving Rhames, Aubrey O'Day, Mark Salling, Tara Reid, Tamsin Egerton
It will be directed by John Gulager

Filming was originally said to begin in the New Orleans area between January 17th to February 18th 2011.
Actress Tara Reid replaces Elisabeth Shue as "Julie Forester."
Ving Rhames is said to be returning as "Deputy Fallon," who somehow survived the attack from the previous film.
Rapper Lil' Wayne is rumored to be playing a character named "Rolzo."
This film once again reunites Feast director John Gulager and writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saws 4 through 7, The Collector).
Alexandre Aja and the writers have reportedly been throwing around ideas for a sequel, one idea involves "the full moon party in Thailand — a huge event with like 200,00 young people from all around the world taking mushrooms and partying on the beach."
Previous director Alexandre Aja will not be returning
Chance that this movie will ever happen: 6 out of 10..They already have a cast! But it's in pre-production so well see.

Final Destination 5

In production and directed by Steven Quale
Starring Miles Fisher, Arlen Escarpeta, Nicholas D'Agosto, Ellen Wroe, Meghan Ory, Tony Todd, David and Koechner
Actress Ellen Wroe plays "the daughter of a company executive, a woman with gymnast training who is a little snobby and for whom everything is a contest."
Actor P.J. Byrne plays "an obnoxious kleptomaniac."
Actor Nicholas D'Agosto is playing "a guy who doesn't make fast decision in his own life."
Actor Tony Todd will reportedly return as the mysterious "Mr. Bludworth" character that seemed to know much more than he should about death's plan from the first two films.
Rumored to have the title 5nal Destination.
It's said that opening scene will take place on a suspension bridge.
Apparently there will be a scene involving a character undergoing laser-eye surgery.
Director Steven Quale has mostly worked as Second Unit Director and most recently with Avatar, which he also served as Visual Effects Supervisor.
Writer Eric Heisserer also scripted the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake and The Thing prequel.
It's said that the producers plan to make the "necessary improvements to deliver what audiences expect from this franchise, going back to the original."
Much like The Final Destination, this sequel will be in 3D.
The Final Destination was originally intended to be the last installment in the franchise since development of the project was rough and the film itself received a lot of slack from critics, but the studio changed its mind when the pic made $66 million domestically and became a success overseas.
Chance that this movie will ever happen: 10 out of 10..It is said to have a release date of August 2011!

LeatherFace 3D
(This is not the official title)
It is in development
Producer Mark Burg has been quoted saying the following about the storyline: "It's 35 years later, there's a relative going back. Why is he going back? I don't want to set it in a dusty town. How do we make it more urban but keep that feel. There will be some relatives, some new people. There's still the subtext of 'are they eating these people?' The whole idea of cannibalism, we're bringing it back."
Co-writer Adam Marcus also wrote/directed Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday.
Stephen Susco (The Grudge) wrote an early draft of the script, which has reportedly been scrapped.
It's rumored that a cult may somehow be involved in the storyline.
It's said this will be in 3D.
Platinum Dunes sold the rights to the franchise to Twisted Pictures (Saw films) after the studio felt that it was now dead and there was no more money to be made.
Said to be more of a "reboot" than a sequel.
Chance that this will ever happen: 5 out of 5..the fans don't want it but it's in development..

Silent Hill:Revelation 3D
The sequel follows Heather Mason and her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
It is in production and is being directed by Michael J. Bassett.
Starring Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Deborah Kara Unger
Filming began on March 7th 2011 in Toronto.
Actress Radha Mitchell returns as "Rose."

Actor Sean Bean returns as "Christopher."
Actress Deborah Kara Unger returns as "Dahlia Gillespie."
One of the producers was quoted saying: "We are all excited to have the Silent Hill team reunited in Toronto. With Michael at the helm, we will be building on the first film and taking Silent Hill into new territory with an exciting storyline and visuals that should grab both new audiences and fans of the Silent Hill franchise."
Michael J. Bassett had this to say about what fans can expect from the upcoming film: "I love the games and was a huge admirer of the first film. Especially how Christophe Gans and his team managed to capture the look and feel of the world. I say, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it,  so I’m bringing back as many of that core creative team as I can – but I’m probably going to bring just a little more darkness and fear into the mix as well.   I love the complex mythology and psychological twists that Konami created so will do my best honour that aspect too.
I’m determined to deliver a film that builds on the qualities of the first film and draws on the best aspects of the games whilst giving the audience more nuanced characters, a compelling story and introducing some terrifying new monsters (as well as bringing back a few favourites) and, most important of all… just scaring the shit out of everyone."
Chance that this movie will ever happen: 9 out of 10. This movie NEEDS a sequel after the 1st movie ending and is said to be coming out this year!

It's said that Selene now has a daughter in the film.

Original writer/director Len Wiseman was originally thought to be returning, but is only serving as producer.
John Hlavin was quoted saying the following about the project: "I can tell you it's not a prequel. It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don't want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements."
Writer John Hlavin also served as writer for the FX series The Shield.
Actress Kate Beckinsale reprises her role as "Selene."
Previous director Patrick Tatopoulos will not be returning.
