Monster Man is a new tv show featured on SyFy(previously called Sci-Fi..which i prefer much more) where the battle between practical effects and digital effects continues....
It features the Special Effects company called Sota FX where they follow around Cleve Hall(distinguishable by the guy-liner and white face) and Constance(best known as the girl with the magically changing hair color).

This show is good for a few reasons.
1. Cleve drives a Hearse =]
2. It features guys(and girls) who are for practical effects...best said by Cleve, "The best monsters are still hand made" You get to see up and close and personal, practical effects at its best =]

3.Cleve works with his ex wife and the "normal" one..the fact that the "normal" one always gets the shitty jobs and Cleve still answers to his ex-wife is hysterical to me.

4.It has monsters. They may not always be good but the same can be said about digital effects as well.
On the other side of this...there is ONE HUGE BAD THING about this show as well.
-IT IS THE SAME DAMN RECYCLED FORMULA.
Just like most reality shows following a business....the company is always given deadlines for jobs that take months to do, they NEVER finish on time, the client always makes SURPRISE visits, they are always late to their job locations, but in the end they somehow ALWAYS leave the client happy.
At the end of the day though I still tune in every Wednesday at 10 to see the mess become the monsters I love to watch. If your a horror fan or practical effects fan...just WATCH..I'm pretty sure you have nothing else better to watch....American Idol? I dont think so.
What a season freaking finale!
That was epic, in the sense that, everyone want to throw Rick off a cliff and finally Michonne gets her introduction, epic.
Burn baby, Burn
So the season finale started about 2 minutes before we signed off on the last episode. It showed us why all the walkers started migrating towards a certain direction in the first place, which was because a helicopter had attracted them. THEN...upon hearing the gun shot go off when Shane was shot by Carl they decided that that sounded like more fun and headed towards the farm instead..DUN DUN DUNNNN. (Somebody should just shoot Carl already, that nuisance)
After this is when the Spartan size battle began between the Walkers and the group at the farm. This consisted of an ambush in an RV, the utter destruction of the barn, and wasn't complete without a few appetizers for the zombies.
The group didn't leave this battle without a few sacrifices, which forgive me for not knowing there names, but they weren't important anyways.
By the end of this winning battle everyone splits up and conveniently meets back up all at once at the highway in the same spot they broke down at in season 1(sans 1 group member)....Andrea was the only one left behind after this mess ended..everyone else had a vehicle of some sort. She ends up being lucky however, despite all this bad luck, because she stumbles upon the weapons bag && gets to take that with her a little goodie bag from the party she just left. When you see her again at the episode, this is when Robert Kirkman's comic book character named Michonne finally is revealed.
Michonne is a key character in the comic books, but I hardly have a clue of what role she will play in the tv show. She was actually supposed to appear in the Pilot episode of the tv series but was later cut out. In the comics and in the tv show she has chained herself to 2 walkers, one being her best friend and the other her boyfriend. As retarded as this move may sound, it was actually a pretty clever move on her part to chain herself to them. In order to protect herself, from her them she cut off their arms as well as their lower jaw so they couldn't bite her. On top of that, she has the added protection from their scent which wards off other walkers =] Another weapon she has is her Katana, which she is an EXPERT in, and this is apparent when you see her swing and chop the head off of the walker that was about to have Andrea for desert. In the comics, she ends up joining the group, so we'll have to see if they head in that same direction next season.
On TOP of all this however, nothing I believe is more important than all the events that circled Rick's character in this episode. Just last episode, we had revealed to us that whatever disease these walkers were infected with could spread even without being bitten by a Walker. We didn't get much of why or how, but we saw it happen in Randall's character and Shane's as well. Well, fast forward to this episode, and we finally find out why(we didn't have to wait long did we?) Rick reveals to the rest of the group that.........
*pause for dramatic effect*
back at the CDC before they left, the doctor had told him that they had ALL been INFECTED!
After this came to light, I believe that this was the turning point in how everyone reacted and felt about Rick. Most were angry about him not telling them and they were not at ALL understanding of his reasons, which he listed, as "thinking it was better you didn't know" and "it's not important".
Lori however had reason to hate Rick even before her admitted this secret to everyone because just seconds before is when he admitted to killing Shane to her. Lori's reaction: priceless, the fool was so upset at the fact that he killed Shane that she was being totally ignorant to the fact that Shane had tried to kill Rick first and that just 2 episodes ago she was whispering in Rick's ear trying to persuade him to get rid of Shane. I swear women flip flop between their feelings quicker than hookers switch men at an orgy.
What is most unfortunate for Rick though is the fact that he is going crazy at a more alarming rate than Shane was and he doesn't even realize it. By the end of the episode, we are left with Rick admitting to EVERYONE he killed Shane, and to make matters better, also implying to the group that they are no longer following a democracy anymore but instead a tyranny!!! Bet they all miss Shane now?
Next season: We will be brought to the prison which was showed the last second of the season finale episode. We will also find out more about Michonne and meet new characters like The Governor. Who will die? Who will go there separate ways apart from the group? Will Andrea return? Was the Helicopter coming from the prison? All important questions that I cannot WAIT to be answered next season.
My thoughts on this season: I love every second of it. I believe that this time around the director and everyone involved had a better sense of what they wanted to accomplish with the show and they went above and beyond that goal. Every episode for me contained valuable information that carried the show along and didn't drag it out like the first season. There was more blood, more action, and DEFINITELY more deaths this seasons. Overall..BRAVO && so long to Shane and Dale.
So here we are again...yet another weekend has passed that was filled with a sea of Jason's, Freddy's, and the occasional clown on stilts. Of course I'm talking about Monster-Mania!!!!!
This bloody and gory filled weekends is probably my favorite good time on the east coast besides Chiller Theatre(which is geared more towards classic horror).
At this 3-day convention you can find numerous panels, horror movies playing all weekend, and a mass of your favorite celebrities signing autographs all day for about $30 a pop. It’s just a good time.
A note about the prices of autographs for celebrities….they keep increasing! And I know a lot of people are upset about this but one thing I learned is that the convention is NOT responsible for the prices set by these celebrities! SO STOP complaining to the convention runners! The agencies that represent these celebrities often times set up these prices if not the celebrities themselves….they need to make a profit somehow off these things and the agencies take a cut of the paycheck(do you wonder why the prices went up now?) Just like us, some of these celebs have to make money, especially the washed up ones that come to these events. So its either you pay for the autograph now or you send your money to a fan mail address and get an un-personalized autograph from an assistant to print you out a carbon-copy signature =]
This weekend my celebrities that were a MUST-SEE was the cast of the original Blair Witch Project, Kane Hodder, Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger, and Carl, Merle, and T-dog from The Walking Dead. All the above mentioned celebrities were such a pleasure to meet. They were all nice to me and my civilian friends, especially T-dog(I forget his real name at the moment) and Robert Englund.
My only negative comment about the whole convention (which many people besides myself have complained about) was the way they handled the line for Robert Englund. Saturday(all-day & I’m sure other days) they had people literally waiting hours in the cold just to see him. Now, this isn’t a usual problem for the convention, it just sucked that it just so happened this time where I actually wanted to meet the headliner really badly. Then on top of that, of course out of all these beautiful days we’ve been having I decided to wait outside in my Tina costume on the cold one lol. =p I, myself, waited for 4 1/2 hours to see him, who knows how long other waited behind me! The worst part was that the people behind me got cut off and weren't allowed to see him even after their hours of waiting outside to see him. All in all though, Robert Englund was WELL WORTH the wait to me. He is my absolute favorite horror icon and has been since I was first potty trained. I’m pretty sure that while other kids were learning how to sing twinkle twinkle I was learning the, “1,2 Freddy’s coming for you” song. One of the main reasons his lines actually took so long was because he likes to take an adequate amount of time out with each fan to really personalize the experience. This may seem dreadful while you’re on the line waiting, but once you get to see him and you realize your over here having a convo with the dream killer, you’ll understand. For what it’s worth I truly think he is the nicest celebrity I have met so far, && I have met quite a few dumba$$es along the way. I’m probably gonna check out his book next, Hollywood Monster, && the documentary, Never Sleep Again. Saw some awesome reviews for these.
One more negative comment: They need more beer besides at the bar haha…At Chiller they literally have beer wagons =]

&& the first problem we must solve is the Sophia issue..&& whether Hershel has been keeping her zombified body a secret or not....well..he WAS. Everyone on the farm knew...but like Glenn said.."Maybe this is for the best" According to him, Sophia's disappearance was different than the rest of the missing survivors...it's for this reason they end up giving her a proper burial(poor Andrea..her sister didn't get the same red-carpet treatment)
In other exciting news, b/c of Shane falling off his rocking chair last season....THERE OUT OF A HOME or a piece of LAND shall I say. Or @ least Shane is....ohh && Dale STILL hates Shane "I knew guys like him...Sooner or later he's gonna kill somebody else". Though..we shouldn't jump the gun on Shane folks...he still has a heart && he shows it in this episode.."I'm just trying to keep everyone safe".
As far as Rick, he is starting off this season still uneasy about his leadership abilities and whether he has what it takes to lead. With all the recent disasters happening in the group, he is beginning to blame himself, && lose faith in the drive that got him to where he is now.
In the meanwhile...in the background..one of the residents at the farm goes into SHOCK...&& Glenn's got 99 zombies and the live one's the issue...

Of course it is shortly after this that Lori decided to grow a pair of non existent rubber balls and follow Rick and Glen into town...when all of a sudden..predictably...BAM! She crashes(I swear the previews didn't already give this away =p) So time for a hypothetical question: Does Lori die or get saved? We must wait till next time for an answer.
Also...NEW PEOPLE stop by for a lil bit..&& then leave in a rush =\ One of the strangers left us with a quote to ponder on.. "Ain't nobody's hands clean...we're all the same in this world". The strangers main motives: to get a place on the farm for their group...unfortunately given the day that Rick has been having he has to decline their offer to pull in resources.
As the show ends we see a new side of Rick that paints him as more of a leader. He does a first during this episode that he has never had to do in this new world before, but I'll leave you to watch it yourself.
We are left with a cliffhanger this week, wondering if what the hell happened to Lori?...Stay tuned next week.

Rue Morgue:I love this magazine for tons of reasons. 1st of all new movies aren't buying covers on this magazine (like Fangoria), which makes it unbiased && more awesome. They chose which movies they'll review based on there own opinions & interests, making the articles more entertaining to read. Rotten Cotton: haha everyone's favorite horror t-shirt store...(aside from Frightrags) You can almost ALWAYS find their ads in Fangoria and such. I love their stuff mainly for 1 reason. There old school && they have old school. Each of the shirt comes with about only 2 colors on it...check out the site and you will see. This unique decision by the company to place at most 3 colors on a shirt makes them different, classic, && just plain awesome. Fright Rags: Another notorious website for their horror t-shirts, sells everything from vintage horror shirts, limited edition shirts, to posters and more. They another company that places a limited amount of colors on their shirts though that number seems to be increasing a tad bit with time. My favorite section of the site is the "Graveyard" tab where all retired designs go to die && be buried. Well..finally here is my review of part 2 of Bag Of Bones.
To START off I'd just like to say that contrary to what many other reviews were online, I actually liked the movie. I thought that it was a tad-less boring than the usual made-for-tv Stephen King flick. Like I have said many times before, I am NOT a fan of Kingdom Hospital(another Stephen King flick). That movie just kept going and going and going...and it lost me about an hour due to confusion and just pure boredom. Back to Bag of Bones: Though there was a LOT of talking between characters going on, the development of the story moved on at a pretty good pace. Revealing things quite quickly but at the same time taking 10 minutes of screen time to do so. At the beginning of the 2nd half I was fueled by my eagerness to find out more about the visions that Mike had been having, and fortunately I didn't have to wait long for answers to be revealed. The first person to reveal these answers was his cleaning lady, who shows up once AGAIN at the perfect time to see Mike lose his cool a second time. After a little persuasion by the stunningly old Mike Noonan she reveals information about, "The Curse of Dark Score Lake....the legend...the kind of stories told round the campfire..it's when people go mad." and of course the appropriate question that was asked next is, What do people do when they go Dark Score crazy?. && in this town instead of just locking yourself in your house and owning a lot of cats, crazy is defined as killing your female kin(apparently this is a trend that is ongoing in China). This curse has plagued the lives of certain residents in the past that are listed below:
Maddie's husband Lance trying to kill their daughter Kyra by drowning her
Buddy's dad held his little sister under the water pump and drowned her
Dill dean's father Fred held Billy's little sister when they were young under water at Dark Score Lake
But Who's next?
The only drawback to all this information being revealed in the movie was that at the end of the day..or movie should I say...it wasn't that great of a reveal. There was such a lack of an awesome resolution to all the mystery they had done so well of building up to. I was actually very disappointed with the 2nd half of the movie because of this, because it made predicting from beginning to end the "DARKNESS" of Dark Score Lake and its past so easy. After the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half I could already predict what had happened to Sara Tidwell and how the town was involved in her death. I probably could have even guessed what happened to her after seeing the first half of the movie. Once again in a movie the tiring plot, of a town with secrets and people who in the past committed a wrong that they are now dealing with in the present is being played out here. I can't tell you how many times I've seen this situation in a movie, and in this movie they did little to make it stand out from the rest. In this situation, the curse was placed by Miss Sara Tidwell on all those who played a hand in the death of her and her daughter(who was an innocent bystander). The scene of her death was very brutal to watch, so seriously if anybody has a sensitivity to domestic abuse/rape situations, proceed with caution. It is in this scene that Sara says, "You and your kin are cursed. You and your sons are going to do to you daughters what you done to mind. With your own hands you will murder your own daughters, until you are all gone." It is because of the involvement of Mike's grandad in her death that now he must suffer if he has kids..ahem..wasn't he supposed to have one up until the mother got pummeled by a bus!? Well, with the reveal of the curse of Sara Tidwell also came the reveal of why his wife Jo was truly keeping her pregnancy a secret; to protect her unborn child and Mike from harm. Guess she's not a trifling ho after all like Mike had suggested for 2 hours of the movie. The reveal of his wife's secret was probably the only fact that came as a surprise to me aside from a few surprising scenes, because I really had thought she had cheated on her ignorant husband with his gay brother she had been spotted with. Along with this shocking fact came a few deaths that were also "good" unsuspecting surprises. A sudden death of a main character actually shocked the sh*t out of me and scared me a lil'(just a lil). I liked this scene in the movie though for many reasons. 1) it brought my full attention back to the movie (&& took it away from twitter's sick grasp over my mind) 2) it providing the 2nd half with the much needed twist 2 make it a bit unpredictable && 3) it helped to explain the quote, "Custody has it's responsibilities"(an underlying theme in the 2nd half)
The other death, was more of suicide, but all can be explained when you see the film.
Now to get to the end summation of the whole film. One of the best parts of this film I believe were the quotes said by a variety of characters that really made you intrigued with their meanings and helped to play a crucial part in the mystery of the film. Such quotes as,
"This thing was always bigger than you",
"People Don't take kindly to having their secrets spilled",
"A person without secrets is like a scarecrow without stuffing",
&& "I'm going to give you once chance to save your soul".
One of the most important quotes in this movie being, "Lie still Bag of Bones". The "Bag of Bones" concept was brought up multiple times during the film. It was first mentioned when Mike had described himself as being a bag of bones with no purpose in the first half of the film. Then in the 2nd part of the film is when a novel of words was written on his laptop solely consisting of the words, "Lie Still Bag of Bones". Though this made no sense at first, this would ultimately be the resolution to the curse and the overall conflict of the movie. The way that the movie was resolved can be summed up in any episode of Supernatural.
Overall, I'd have to give this movie a solid 3.5/5.
It was awesome to see Pierce Brosnan on the screen again, though he disappointed me at times with his lack of mojo && his ridiculously acted "crying" scenes.. && the lil actress who played Kyra is just so damn cute && good at her role that it was a pleasure just watching her on my nice HD TV. The plot of the story was enough to keep you watching until the story unraveled and revealed itself, && the fact that you cared for Kyra && wondered where the curse will take things made it watchable till the end. There were about 3 scenes that could maybe make you jump out of your comfy couch, but there was much time in between these scenes, so for avid horror fans this may not be your top priority on your DVR. The reveal of the mystery and secrets is sub-par though the buildup is great && there are many things that make this movie both good and bad. In my opinion, I'd say just watch it to say you did and I promise you that you won't come out feeling like you wasted 4 hours of your life. (Though don't watch it all in 1 night--separating the 2 parts makes the 2nd half more entertaining and you feel less as though the movie was dragging on as well).
Similarity to The Shining:
Setting of the story made people go crazy: For Jack Nickelson in The Shining it was the Overlook Hotel && for MikeNoonan && the other victims it was Dark Score Lake.
Family Members were always the victims: In The Shining the families of the Caretakers during the winter for the hotel were always the victims, being killed off before the end of the winter. && in Bag Of Bones it was the father's killing their daughters.
The father is always the crazy/vulnerable one who ends up killing.
Sooo I finally checked out the first part of the A&E movie special, "Bag Of Bones"..&& to be honest I ACTUALLY liked it despite what most reviews have said about it.
Of course there were parts that I found funny at times, but the overall tone of the movie was great and the mysterious vibe was definitely kept.
Now lets keep in mind I never read the book so I really can't compare what I saw to what was in the text, though I find that in most cases the books are always better anyways.
Now I gave a summary of the movie in my previous post so I won't do much to summarize it here again...all I will simply say about the plot of the FIRST half is that in this half they introduce Mike Noonan, the renowned Novelist, and his wife(soon to be dead-wife) Jo. They have a seemingly awesome relationship filled with awkward sexy moments between an elderly man(Mike) and what could be his daughter(Jo)? As you can see, I really found the scenes between the couple kissing and climbing on top of each other just plain awkward. Pierce Brosnan who plays Mike seemed so shaky, like he needed to take some more Viagra before he partook in any kind of sexually arousing activities. Not to mention him trying to kiss his lovely and hot wife seemed completely forced beyond belief.
Fast Forward to his wife's untimely death just as she was returning back to her ignorant lover with a secret hidden away in her purse. BOOM! A bus hits her and her secret just like that is spilled out for everyone to see..literally. && What do you know? its a pregnancy test! Gosh. Now the question on all our minds, even Mike's, is whether it was his baby that just got run over or some hot young dude's baby from the lake house she so frequently visited while her husband ignored her so effortlessly.
Well, that question isn't answered in the 1st half.
Lets fast forward again, && now we find Mike at the lake house that he inherited from his wife after her passing. Many things could have prompted poor terribly acted-depressed Mike to come here(seriously his crying scenes were laughable, like a bad audition tape for acting school). It could have been his frequent nightmares that were acted out like a poor interpretive dance about drowning children and the lake house itself. But then again, maybe it wasn't the dreams that did it, maybe it was Jo's presence in his own house who was supposedly frequently talking to him through phone rings, "once for yes, twice for no". Hmm..maybe people are just calling you MIKE?! The only thing that actually convinced me he wasn't crazy(and NOO it wasn't the backgrounds of Jo all over his phone and computer that did it) was the fact that Jo pulled a "sixth sense/m.night shamala-dingdong" move on us by reaching out from underneath the bed to warn/scare Mike of something. Which by the way, I thought that scene was soo poorly done. It wasn't creepy, it was expected, and she was just THERE. No blood, no corpsy looking body. Just her being like, "Hey go the lake house f*ck tard && stop crying over spilled milk". Anyways, it actually wasn't any of those things at all that made him go to the lake house, but instead it was his sweet and lovable agent Marty who convinced him to write another novel in 4 months who made Mike think it was a good reason to go.
Anyways, we're at the beautiful lake house, that I now envy so much, and crazy shit starts happening almost immediately. Which I think is a good thing because the movie definitely picked up towards the second half of the first half =] If things moved any slower I'd probably be bored out of my mind, which is sometimes the case with Stephen King movies.
In the house, in my opinion, it feels like 2 spirits are fighting to control Mike's decisions and his life there at the house. One is obviously Jo, who is the good-natured spirit always asking him to help others, and the other being an angry spirit that we have yet to learn about(my guesses is that it's Sara). The ghosts that we are introduced to in this part are Jo and Sara Tidwell (a jazz singer from back in the day). Both of them seem to have secrets hidden in that house, and the creepy elderly people around town seem to know a little sumtin sumtin too about these secrets as well. There ways of communicating to Mike are actually quite interesting, though some methods are down right stupid. One way that Jo actually tries to communicate with Mike is through the same bell around the Moose's neck that they so often rang together each time they made love when she was alive. This was clever because it really played into Mike's preferred method of communicating with the dead with the once or twice method. The other way that these spirits communicated is through the preschool refrigerator magnet letters on the fridge. This made no sense to me because first of all why would 2 grown adults with no children have just 6 letters on the fridge. They obviously only have about a 4 word vocabulary. The other methods include Mike's visions and an old record player that played creepy lullaby's about the Sandman coming, sung by none other than Sara Tidwell.

We are also introduced to Mattie and her daughter Ky during this half, who are both wonderfully portrayed by the actresses. Ky is just soo damn cute =] Mattie is actually fighting for custody of her daughter against her daughter's maniacal grandfather, who ever since the death of the father(who tried to kill his daughter), has been trying to take her away. Honestly, I would not want the father of the guy who tried killing my baby to take my daughter away; bad genes run in the family hunny. Locals actually called the deceased father, "Dark Score Crazy" for attempting to kill his daughter. It's funny because these were actually the key words that gave me the idea that Sara Tidwell might have been killed by some of the older generations in the town back in the day, and that is the secret they're all hiding. Maybe the grandfather did it? Maybe he was Dark Score crazy too?
Of course in this custody battle there is no justice being served because everyone is on the grandfather's side even Mattie's lawyer. That's what happens when your rich and have a history of killing people.
Also, while at the Lake house Mike's visions become more intense and sexual. There is even 1 minute of the movie where he cycles through all the ghosts all while succumbing to all their seductions. Seriously folks, he makes out with all 3 ghosts, including his wife, with no conviction. At least he did gain some valuable information from his hands on approach to interrogating the dead. Maddie, who appeared as a ghost with a hole in the back of her head(no she's not really dead, confusing right?) before she disappeared said to Mike, "All will be revealed". My guesses are that Maddie knows more than she is letting off, and that everyone in Dark Score is pretty much keeping a secret.

Well guys, I gave a summary even though I didn't plan too. That's what usually happens when I start talking...I usually can't stop myself.
As far as the quality of the movie goes, it was definitely enjoyable and watchable. Its better than other Stephen King adaptations I have seen in the past such as the unmentionable, "Langoliers" and "Kingdom Hospital". There were creepy jump out of couch scenes and then there were the scenes that lacked in intensity. From this first half I have come up with the conclusion that, Pierce Brosnan sucks at being sexy anymore =[ and he is definitely not a good crier(way 2 much expression). Also, I couldn't help but notice all the similarities the film had to the Shining, another Stephen King film.
Here are a few:
The bathtub scene: In the Shining we had the creepy old woman come out the bathtub and in this movie we had a little child reach out the tub to scare the shit out of us.
The main character is a writer, who of course suffers from writer's block and because of it goes a lil mad at times.
The subtle ghost precenses. In the Shining a lot of the ghosts weren't there to show up for 2 seconds to scare you and then leave again until the next "oh-shit" moment. This was similar to, "Bag of Bones", because in this flick the ghosts communicated with Mike, as they did in the Shining, and there presence at most times came quietly.
The child and mother in both movies are the ones who are keeping the men sane to a certain extent or at least trying to. In the Shining, they struggled to keep there daddy with them and on the same page. In this movie, they are a means of bringing Mike back to the reality he lost with the death of his wife.
The ghosts from the 20's-60's. In both movies there were spirits that were communicating with the main character that came from times way before there years. In the Shining it was the bar tender. In Bag Of Bones it was Sara.
Thank the TV gods for A&E. I think I fell in love with them ever since they advertised that they will be showing a 2 night television event starting Dec 11 at 9/8c. This 2-night event will be showing none other than the master of written horror, Stephen King's Bag Of Bones. This movie is directed and produced by Mike Garris.

Premise of the Story:
Well just like any other good ghost story it begins with a death. && who better than to go through the emotional roller coaster of having a dead wife than a best-selling novelist, Mike Noonan, who probably ran out of ideas?? Is it starting to get utterly predictable yet? Well, because he is so distraught, Mike decides to follow his dream(literally), by going to back to his lakeside retreat in Western Maine that he once used to visit with his late wife. Enter stage right the cold weather and the predictable hot new love interest, Mattie. However, this can't be just a one night stand for this fella cuz everyone in Maine comes with baggage..and hers is in the size of a lil pint size daughter named Kyra. Of course being the man that Pierce Brosnan is, he gets involved with this strangers crazy custody battle over her daughter that is between her and guess who? Her wealthy grandfather. If I was the girl I'd rather go with grand daddy and get the pony for Christmas. During this plot line, somewhere along the way, Mike regains the ability to write again from some sudden inspiration. However, everything comes at a price. And his is costly. It includes nightmares along with frequent visits from a blues singer who ghost still lingers in the house(yet happened to not ever be there when he used to visit...hmm). Now here comes the secrets at the lake which start to unveil themselves && at the end comes the biggest secret of all from his late wife.
This movie of course is an adaptation of another one of Stephen King's great horror novels. It is described as being a ghost story that is more about the nature of love and romance as it is about the retribution of the sins of the father. It has everything you could ever dream of in a horror-suspense movie including secrets waiting to be revealed, a mystery waiting to unfold, brutal murders itching to be heard, and of course the long anticipated battle between two spirits motivated by love and the other by hatred and revenge.

Lets just hope this movie is ACTUALLY good and they don't execute it as poorly as Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital. It's a 2 night event so lets see if the ratings stay consistent to the 2nd night and lets see how many of the viewers actually remain on the channel for the full movie && not because they fell asleep on the couch.

Well I’m sure the first thing that all of you are wondering who haven’t read an watched The Walking Dead series is if the comic is better than the show. In my opinion, I’d say they both have the strengths and I love them both for different reasons. Sometimes during the first season of the show I felt like they dragged certain scenes on for too long where sometimes there were periods of nothingness. This is unlike the comic where EVERYTHING happens at a much faster rate. Robert Kirkman, who is the creator of the comic, wastes no time on dragging out anything. But this is a reason why I actually prefer the show sometimes. What the show did that the comics didn’t was go into further detail about characters back stories and the relationships between the characters. It also placed new characters in the Walking Dead story that actually have played a big and important part in the story’s plot. Anyways, enough of my rambling. Let’s move on to looking at the facts.
Here is a list of some of the key differences between the tv show and the comics:

·Rick meets his first zombie or rather cafeteria FULL of zombies much quicker in the comics. Unlike in the tv show where Rick doesn’t quite meet his first zombie till outside of the hospital; in the comics as soon as he wakes up and strolls down the hallways he comes across the cafeteria which is full of zombies waiting to feast like thanksgiving dinner. In the show, he avoids this whole scenario by choosing not to enter the double doors that yield the sign, “Don’t Open, Dead inside”. This sign is actually in the comics as well, but much later in the comics, so it was kind of an Easter egg put in the show for fans of the comic.
Rick and Morgan: So we meet Morgan in the beginning episodes of the tv show, as he was the first person Rick sees that’s alive. He’s the guy who was held up with his son and stalked his “walker” wife from the window, remember? Well in the comics this character and his son do exist, but the whole conflict with Morgan’s wife and moving on doesn’t. In the comics, she isn’t even a character at all. Also, when they Rick and Morgan part ways in the comics he leaves Morgan with a police car rather than a radio like in the show.
·The campsite in the Comics is about a few hundred feet away from the City, unlike in the tv Show where Glen gets to leave the city in a fancy car due to a nice hefty sum of “product placement”.
·In the comics, the zombies are referred to as “Zombies”. In the tv show, the zombies are referred to as “Walkers” and never anything else besides “people”. In my opinion, I prefer walkers over zombies cuz it seems less generic.
·In the comics, the relationship between Rick and Shane prior to the apocalypse is never explained in detail as it is in the tv show. In the show we learn quite a bit about their relationship as they sit in the police car talking during the lunch break before Rick gets shot. This scene is also preferred by me because it helps to see how Shane interacted with Rick before and after the events.
·In the comics a lot of key characters from the show DON’T exist. Such as Merle, Daryl, and ED. Carol is a single mom in the comics. && There’s no T-dawg in the comics. Instead there’s a big black football player named Tyrese =]
·The whole season finale with the introduction of the “TS-19” virus, DOESN’T happen in the comics. In the comics, the group never goes to the CDC, the nursing home, and they never meet the gang of Mexicans that kidnap Glenn either. The first survivors that the group meets after they meet each other is at Herschel’s Farm.
·Shane and Lori’s love was a one night stand in the comics that was fueled by the depression that consumed their whole bodies after their mutual sadness with Rick’s passing and the apocalyptic events that followed. In the tv show, this love was played out quite differently. It seems as though in the tv show their love lasted more than just one night in a tent and could be the reason for a new life in the show.
·Another big difference between the show and the comics is how other perceived Shane and his fate. In the comics, Dale comes straight out and tells Rick that no one trusts Shane and that Shane has a thing for Lori. Also in the comics, Shane DIES by the end of the 6th issue. The scene was actually pretty crazy. Rick and Shane had a confrontation in the woods which led to Shane pulling out a gun on Rick. Luckily, Carl found daddy in the Woods with his temp-daddy, and decided to shoot him in the neck because of all the pain he caused mommy and daddy. The tv show completely avoids this whole scene because Shane is still alive and kicking well into the second season and Carl is still fond of him. Dale however, still isn’t. EDIT: WARNING! SPOILER! CARL ACTUALLY DOES GET TO BLAST SHANE'S HEAD OFF. SO HE GETS TO FULFILL HIS COMIC BOOK DESTINY. BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT SHANE IS A WALKER & HIS FATHER GETS FIRST DIBS ON SHANE.
So now we just finished Season 2 and I have a post for that whole she-bang. However, I wanted to add another similarity between the comic books and the tv show and that's Michonne.
_Michonne_
She first appeared during the season finale of the tv show(though she was supposed to be in the pilot and late got cut out). In the comics she appeared first in issue 19, and since then has played a crucial role in the comic series. The characters played in both the comic and the tv show look similar to each other, because just like in the comics, she is sporting a Katana and 2 walkers that are chained to her. In the comics, one of these walkers was her best friend while the other was her boy friend. She uses their scents as a defense against other walkers and has cut off their lower jaw and arms to protect herself.
She's one bad-ass chick with tons of ninja sword fighting skills in the comics and i'm sure she will be in the show as well(I mean she did save Andrea's life). She is going to be a vital addition to the group especially within their new scenery(the prison).
If you ever pass by an ELM ST. I urge you to continue driving and at ALL costs avoid staying over night anywhere NEAR this location. ELM ST. is one hell of town that has quite the bloody history && if you have kids then you definitely want to try and avoid the state of Ohio. Regardless of it's history though this Street seems to increase in notoriety and is almost as popular as the "number 1 sex offender in that hemisphere" that inhabits the town. His name as you all must know already is....

Come through this town and your either;
A. Asking to never sleep again
B. Asking to see what it's like for blades to grace you violently.
or.....
C. Asking for directions to our next location that you want to avoid....
2. Camp Crystal Lake(Location:Unknown)
Though the exact location for this wonderful and scenic camp is unknown, there is one lead that takes us to Gainesville, Florida in present time where a camp with this name actually exists.
Here are some of the reasons you would want to avoid this location:
Jason Voorhees: He is a tortured deformed lil soul who has quite the track record or should I say "kill" record when it comes to supernaturally strong serial killers/mass murders. He yields most often times a machete that would even make Rambo yelp in fear because of it's size. As of today, this murderer has killed over 178 people and here are some of the ways he has done it (check graphic).
If that isn't a reason to avoid this camp like the plague maybe these people are:
Pamela Voorhees: Now nothing is more fierce and scary than a woman, let alone a mother, who is seeking revenge in her son's name. This mother makes even the worst of in-laws look holy. She worked at the camp originally as the cook before she decided she would rather kill slutty and annoying kids instead for a living. This new career path means that you may be one her targets.
Do you really want to get off the exit for this one?
3.Wax Museum in Ambrose
Half of you right now are probably asking yourselves what the hell is an Ambrose and where is it?!?! While the other half of you are probably asking yourselves what the hell is wrong with visiting a Wax Museum?!?
Well the short answers to these questions is A) I don't know where Ambrose is but if you see an exit for it just ignore it && B) Never question my posts.
The Wax museum in Ambrose is one of those places that you want to avoid if you don't want half of your vacation allowance to be sucked from your wallets or if you if you didn't have a "wax" in mind on your road trip.
(I mean unless this happens to turn you on------>)
Other than that single lil' shred of naked goodness..your asking to become a part of the town's historic museum forever just by setting foot in the surrounding woods. So NO breaks, not even to piss. Just invest in some adult Walmart diapers, your much better off in the long run.
Others who have not heeded my warning have all shared a similar fate.

4. Overlook Hotel aka Stanley Hotel
Next location that I suggest waiting to "fill your gas tank up in the next town over" is this remarkable hotel with a ghostly history.
Some of the inhabitants of this hotel are:
The Twins: and not the kind you bring home.
The alcoholic with a love for Movie Lines.
The Hottie then Nottie in Room 237
Lloyd, the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of the group
And MOST of all you want to avoid this scooby-douche and his round up gang at the hotel:
If you choose not to listen to me and stay at the hotel then make sure you pack for a lifetime and include a bunch of extra footed pajamas in your suitcase too because your guaranteed to get snowed in.Oh and don't forget to send me a postcard.
5. Silent Hill
Population: Zero
Some towns should never be entered.
This is one of them.
This town is definitely not one to be messed with. Often times people crash their vehicles near this town which ultimately pulls them into the town looking for help. But it's not only the unexplained vehicle malfunctions that should make you want to avoid this town like poision ivy, but the unexplained dissappearances as well. So unless you have someone along for your road trip that you could do without...TAKE THE DETOUR.
